The report also doesn’t include paid premieres which were held on wednesday with a hiked ticket price (to the tune of 25 dollars a ticket in some centers). The estimated amount from the collections of premieres is around 50k. The total estimated gross in USA till friday is 250k USD. Dil Raju is smiling

Posted by LEGENDRY KRISH on , under | comments (0)

Few days ago, Dil Raju was always caught in tensed mood. NTR’s fans pressurized him to release Brindavanam on October 8th but he was in no mood to compete with Khaleja and Robot and wanted to wait till they release. Finally he managed to convince the star and his fans and announced the release date – October 14th. Now he is smiling and looks confident that Brindavanam will hit the bull’s eye. He feels that as it is releasing before the festival – Dussera is on Oct 17th – openings will be fantastic and the holiday mood of the audiences would help this movie further.

Unlike NTR’s earlier movies, Brindavanam is more of a romantic entertainer than action drama. So releasing the movie on Festival time, as everyone wants to see a family viewing movie at such times, is right marketing strategy. Dil Raju believes that his strategy works in his favor. Let’s see!

Does Ramcharan Deserve Nandi Award?

Posted by LEGENDRY KRISH on , under | comments (0)

The announcement of best actor award for former union minister and veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao for his role in the film “Mestri” has shocked the fan club of upcoming hero  Ramcharan Teja, son of megastar and Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi.

PRP cadres across the state have lodged protests over the Nandi awards committee’s decision to give the award to Dasari, while ignoring the talent of Ramcharan Teja in the film Magadheera. They are arguing that Dasari’s film was a mega flop, whereas Magadheera was a mega hit. “The committee has to take into consideration the people’s mandate as was evident from the way Magadheera has run in some theatres for over a year, whereas Mestri was rejected by the people. Secondly, nobody could match the performance of Ramcharan Teja in Magadheera, especially at the time of fighting 100 warriors,” a PRP leader remarked.

But critics question whether Magadheera was hit because of its technical brilliance or Ramcharan’s action. Though it was a hero-oriented film, the credit should go to the director, art director and graphics artiste, but definitely not Ramcharan Teja, because he still looks amateur in acting as well as dialogue delivery. So, they doubt whether he really deserve best actor award, though Dasari might not justify the same
