Though it has got the talk as much much better than ‘Komaram Puli’, the super duper success of the film ‘Robot’ has turned out to be a curse for ‘Khaleja’.

Films like ‘Don Seenu’ ‘Maryada Ramanna’ got divided talk and average talks but since they were the ‘solo release’, they had the advantage and that way, they landed in safe zone.

However, that chance was not there for ‘Khaleja’ and though it got a talk that ‘its okay, can be watched once’, that did not become much useful for the film. Right now, those who have bought the film are facing the danger of incurring heavy losses since the film is likely to be removed from the theatres just three days after its release.

So those who expected that the severe losses of ‘Komaram Puli’ would be covered by ‘Khaleja’ are in for a major disappointment. Now, the news is that those who bought both the films are in the verge of facing severe losses, so they are planning to come to Hyderabad and stage dharnas and relay fasting in film nagar and also in front of the homes of the films’ heroes. Since producer Singanamala Ramesh has suffered big blow due to the poor performance of both films, it is heard that the agitators want to take their protest towards the homes of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas since half of the budgets are consumed by their sky rocketing remunerations.

This means that since S J Suryah is not from here and based in Chennai, this will turn out as a blessing in disguise for him.

New Delhi, Oct 5 (IANS) The central government has released Rs.120 crore to the Andhra Pradesh government under the centrally-sponsored scheme of post-matric scholarship for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, said a statement released here Tuesday.

'The ministry of social justice and empowerment has released an amount of Rs.120,41,64,000 as central assistance to the government of Andhra Pradesh,' said a statement issued by the ministry of social justice and empowerment.

'Apart from this, the state also has with it, an unspent balance of about Rs.156 crore from the previous financial year (2009-10). An ad-hoc assistance of Rs.47 crore was released to the state earlier this year. Therefore, with the current release of 120.41 crore, Andhra Pradesh has got the entire due amount for the current financial year for implementation of the post-matric scholarship scheme,' the statement said.

It may be recalled that an amount of Rs.452.47 crore was incurred in Andhra Pradesh during the year 2009-10, out of which a central assistance of about Rs.212 crore was released for post-matric scholarship to Scheduled Castes student. Nearly 6.10 lakh students belonging to Scheduled Castes were benefitted with the scheme in the State during the year.

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the scheduled castes students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage and to enable them to complete their education.

Chandigarh, Oct 7 (IANS) Indecent and abusive comments posted on social networking site Facebook about a female mathematics teacher saw 16 students of a leading private school suspended from their institution.

The students, all from Class 12 of Vivek High School in Sector 38 here, were suspended for three months, school authorities confirmed Thursday.

The incident took place earlier this week when a Class 12 student, who got low marks in his mathematics exam, posted his answer sheet on Facebook with rude and abusive comments about the female teacher. Fifteen of his classmates also chipped in with their comments.

All the comments against the teacher were nasty, rude and abusive.

A teacher of the school, who also had an account on the website, saw the comments and reported the matter to the school management which took the indiscretion of the students very seriously.

'This kind of behaviour is unacceptable on a public platform. We had to take action to ensure that the right message goes to the students,' said Vivek High School chairman H.S. Mamik.

Parents of the suspended students agreed with the school authorities that what they (students) did was wrong.

'It was a mistake what the students did. We have urged the school authorities to review the decision as suspending them for three months in a crucial class is too harsh,' the mother of one of the suspended students said.
