Akkineni Nagarjuna's bilingual flick Gaganam (Payanam in Tamil), directed by popular Tamil-Telugu filmmaker Radha Mohan and produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and Matnee Entertainments, will grace screens on November 5, the makers announced in a media briefing at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad.
"Presently, Gaganam is in post-production stage. We are releasing the film in both Telugu and Tamil. Radha Mohan dealt with the subject in a different format. From start to finish, each frame will have a novel treatment. The film revolves around the hijack of Indian Airlines plane IC 814. What would be the mental status of the passengers at the hijack would be a thrilling experience for the audience," Dil Raju said.
Nagarjuna said: "This is an action-packed thriller. I play the role of a commando. We were inspired by the Kandahar hijack. The director definitely studied the subject well before moulding his own plot." Nagarjuna revealed that the film has no songs. Background score is by Devi Sri Prasad, and K.V. Guhan is the cinematographer.
